I always forget how crazy the second half of the school year is. The end of the year stuff for the business and setting up the new year for the business is tedious and quite time consuming. Getting paperwork ready for taxes, filling out the worksheet our accountant gives us and trying to get them returned early to ensure we don't have to file an extension. The waiting.....oh the waiting for answers from the accountant. Do we have to pay, how much, and when or are we lucky and break even or even better and actually get money back?
I love watching our kids play sports, but I could do without the long practices and traveling to get to games though. Basketball season ends this weekend for Evan. It will interesting to see if he tries out in high school. Quite a few players left at the end of last year and Evan actually got to play this year. He's the tallest on the team and definitely one of the top 2 players - he generally plays the whole game, every game.
It's hard to believe there's only 2.5 months left of school. In that time we will celebrate 4 birthdays at school, First Communion, Confirmation, graduation, 2 science fair projects, field trip to the Capitol, field trip to opening day at the K, 8th grade retreat, and junior retreat. I'm looking forward to a laid back summer with no schedules and nowhere we "have" to be. I love the long days and letting the littles stay up later because they're outside playing. If they were sitting watching tv, then normal bedtime it would be. If it was up to me, we would cancel Dish - it drives me crazy how much tv they watch sometimes.
I tried two new muffin recipes today. If the kids like them, I will share them tomorrow.
